Monsters Line Up Birthday Card

Hi!
I've just discovered a new challenge blog called the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge Blog. This being the last day of June, I just made the deadline for the current challenge, where we had to use spray inks on our projects. Me being a Dylusionist, that would be NO PROBLEMO..!

I made a birthday card for my son's friend who's turning five in July.
I've used Dylusions spray inks for the background of both the card and the letters. Both with the same technique - first making a colourful background with three different sprays, then spraying water (ghosting) and then ink through stencils.
I've coloured the monsters from Stampotique ("Monsters Line Up") with Derwent Inktense blocks. The letters are stamps from Papermania. These were stamped on a background made with Dylusions inks and stencils, then cut out and adhered with foam tape.

This was a fun challenge!
Thanks for looking.

Nautical themed birthday card

Hello darlings!
It's been too long since I last posted, but sometimes life gets in the way.

Here's a birthday card I made for a former collegue who's son turned 30 earlier this month. He's got two big tattoos with ships, so a nautical theme was natural.. Not the easiest theme for me personally, but I do love a challenge! This is what I came up with:

 Front

 Detail

  Inside

In six days I'm putting my travelling shoes on and will be on my way to Harrogate!
I went for a weekend workshop with Dyan Reaveley at Art From the Heart last year, and this summer I'm doing it again! Not the same workshop obviously.. It will be so awesome!!

Also, another thing I'm really excited about, is that I've signed up for three workshops with Dina Wakley at Hobbykunst Megastore in October! There are still places available, why don't you join me?! :)

Wishing you lots of joy and sunshine
Siv
