Hey guys!
I loooove making tags! Therefore I am so excited to announce that in this fortnight's challenge over at the Southern Girls we would like you to show us something with tags. Yaaaay! He he..
This time I have made a tag using Dylusions and a couple of gorgeous stamps from one of our sponsors, Stampotique Originals, called Gooseneck and Bla bla bla. They have plenty of awesome images on their website - why not head on over and take a look?!
This time I've decided to make a step-by-step post on my tag. Please continue reading if you wanna take a look!
Step 1:
Spray #10 size manila tag with Dylusions sprays Cut grass and Black marble.
Dry with heat tool.
Step 2:
Stamp open border stamp with waterproof ink. I've used Archival ink from Ranger.
Dry with heat tool.
Dry with heat tool.
Step 3:
"Bleach" out leaves, using water in waterbrush. Do only about 3 leaves at a time and dry with kitchen roll to lift ink off paper (otherwise the ink will just sink back in).
When dry it should look like this:
Step 4:
Colour in leaves using Cut grass in waterbrush. Dry with heat tool.
Step 5:
Doodle leaves.
Make sure the ink is completely dry, otherwise the white doodling will turn light green.
Step 6:
Ink background stamp with Black marble in waterbrush and stamp on green part of tag.
I chose to use the spray ink instead of Archival ink, in order to make it stay a bit further in the background.
Step 7:
Stamp image and saying on manila cardstock using Archival ink.
Dry with heat tool and colour image, using Dylusions ink sprays in waterbrushes.
Cut out.
(Ooops, sorry, forgot to take pic of this..)
Step 8:
Adhere image and saying with glue stick (I used the collage glue stick from Ranger, my favourite).
Step 9:
Paint with Adirondack paint dabber Pitch black around the edges of tag to frame it.

Aaaand tattaaaaaa - you're done!
Thanks for popping by my blog!

Så utrolig flott tag og jeg digger tutorialen din!! Jeg har enda ikke forstått denne teknikken, men nå skal jeg jammen meg prøve litt mer.

Wow.. LOVE your tag, and I do actually have the stamp Gooseneck in my rather small-but-growing collection of stamps. I think I most appreciated the technique of using dylusions inks in my waterbrush! I can NOT afford fancy-schmancy markers at this time, and my inexpensive colored pencils don't always achieve a look I'd like.. So I really thank you for sharing a how-to today!.. Have a great weekend! ~tina
