Tim Holtz has started a new tradition this year - the 12 tags of 2012. Each month he'll show us a new tag which will inspire us to make our own.. This month he came out with a simple, but wonderful tag and introduced us to a new technique - mosaic. Check out his tag here!
Here is my tag:
I used the new background stamp Woodgrain and a stamp from his Words for thought collection (by Stampers Anonymous). Distress inks are a must on this stamp, and also Archival ink. The tag has been spritzed with Perfect pearls mist Biscotti and embellished with idea-ology Foliage and of course the mosaic butterflies.
These butterflies are made from grungeboard cut out with the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Mini butterflies set. The mosaic is made from snippets of the Lost and found paper stash covered with Glossy accents. The rest of the butterflies is embossed with Distress embossing powder Walnut stain and edged with Distress stains Picket fence.
It sure was fun doing this tag! Can't wait to see what he has in store for us in April (and of course we're still waiting on that January tag.. lol)!
