Patchwork border tag

Hi!
Wow, it's been ages since I last shared from my creative journey. Sooo..
A quick post from me today!

I wanted to show you a tag I made at a workshop with the gorgeous Dyan Reaveley a while back. It's quite simple, yet effectful; a collage border on a black tag, outlined in white pen.
I wrote inside the center before adding my person. It's always fun playing around with different heads and bodies, and this time I went for a man's head on a woman's body. Here (s)he is!

Have a fabulous weekend!

Nok en Bird Crazy tag

Hei!

Bird Crazy tag with Distress Crayons background

Hi!
I've made a tag with one of the amusing birds from Tim Holtz' stamp set Bird Crazy. The background is made with Distress Crayons.

The bow and circle are cut out of black bazzill with dies from Rayher, sold exclusively at Connie's Hobbykunst.

Here's how I made the background:
First I scribbled different colours of Distress Crayons on the tag and rubbed it out with my finger.

I then removed some of the colour with a baby wipe through a stencil. I had prepped the tag with matte media on beforehand to be able to removed more of the colour and get greater contrast.

I then added a later of colour through a stencil using a makeup sponge.

..and repeated with a new colour and stencil.

Then all I had to do was mount it all together, and the tag was done!

Have a wonderful day, and happy Easter!

Set of three tags

Hi!
I was lucky enough to be invited as a guest designer at Rubber Dance Stamps, and I thought I'd make something clean and simple. I like CaS both because it's relatively quick to make, and that the simplicity of it makes it classy. It is also safe for beginners.
I ended up with making a set of three tags, where I've mainly used stamps from the da Vinci set, plus a few from ATC Backgrounds 1.

First I made a background by sprinkling Brushos on cardstock and misting it with water. I then cut the background into size before I stamped and stuck them to black tags. I really like the contrast the black background gives. Finally I've "framed" each tag by drawing double non-straight lines and some doodling with a thin black pen.

Close ups of each tag:

I hope you feel inspired!
Feel free to check out more of Bibi's gorgeous stamps over at Rubber Dance Stamps.

Wishing you a sunny and creative summer.

Tag inspired by Tim Holtz

I don't know why I haven't published this tag before, it's ages since I made it! Anyway.. It's inspired by a tag TH made. Maybe it was one of the 2013 tags, I don't remember!! Lol! That's what vacation does to you...

Except the stamp used on the seam binding (which is from Prima), all of the products used on this tag is from Tim. Stamps, inks, embossing folder, dies and embellishments.. Can't get enough of his products!

Happy Friday!

Tim Holtz meets Dylusions - a birthday tag

Here's a tag I made the other day for my brother in law.
Let's start with the background..
I've used the Dylusions ink sprays White Linen, London Blue, Calypso Teal, After Midnight and Cut Grass. Ghosting and spraying throught stencils gave the background some layers...
The circles are made with a lid from one of the sprays and white paint.
The star stamps are from Dina Wakley, and I've outlined the bottom corner one with my white Sharpie paint pen.

I stamped "Dream" on the tag, and outlined it with my Sharpie.
This gorgeous stamp from Tim Holtz is coloured with Dylusions inks in waterbrushes and outlined with my Sharpie.

The back of the tag. The circles are from Tim Holtz. I've sown the bottom with my sewing machine.
The seam binding is coloured with variuos Dylusions inks and Distress Stains.

Thanks for looking!

SGC #72 ~ Leaves

Hi all!
It's time for a new challenge over at the Southern Girls again. This time we want to see you use leaves in your creations. We've got some awesome sponsors yet again, so join in - and maybe you'll be one of the lucky winners!
Here's my contribution for the challenge..

The background of the tag is made by Distress Paints (Broken china, Salty ocean and Picket fence).
Background stamp is from Stampendous.
The green Jack vine is from Flourish With A Bling (FWAB). The metallic backside shining through really reflects the light beautifully.
All other embellishments used on this tag are from Retail Girl.

The image from Delishious Doodles is called Rosalee. She's coloured with Distress reinkers.
The text on the banner is printed from my computer.

Is this a pretty flower or what?!
Adding a bling in the centre made it even more gorgeous.

That's it for now! Hope to see your creations on the Southern Girls Challenge blog!

As many of you know, I have a thing for Dyan's Dylusions products, and hence a dylusional tag from me this time! :)

Hope you'll join our challenge!
Thanks for stopping by my place.

Chocolate tag

Here's another DT contribution for Hobbykunst!
I got this acetate box as a challenge. First thought that came to me was "Shoot, I have no idea what to do with this!"
But then I got to thinking about a girl's best friend - CHOCOLATE!

The result is the following chocolate tag..

I cut a patterned paper from The Girls' Paperie into strips and made a collage with them on a tag.
Then I went over the collage with some background stamps and Distress Paints.
The winged lady (from Christy Tomlinson/Unity Stamp) is coloured with Prisma Color pencils.
Seam binding is coloured with Distress Stains (Peacock feathers and Brushed pewter).

Some close ups...
"Some say that money can't buy you happiness. They've never tasted chocolate"
Sentiment stamp from Kreativ Hobby

I thought it was a good idea to make sure the box wouldn't open (some customers have a bigger sweet tooth than others...), and this SMASH! tape was perfect!

Now all I need to do is to come up with what to do with the other one (I got two boxes)..
Stay tuned! :)

This is what happened to the pink tag..

Hi!
So I made some tags earlier when I tested out my new Distress Paints. One of them, the pink one, was not finished, and I promised to get back to you when it was..
Well, I finally completed it some days ago, and here it is:

I think TH thought of me when he made this stamp.. lol

The tag is actually part of a canvas which I made as a sample for Norway's biggest craft store, Hobbykunst, to show how you could use the Distress Paints on canvas. Check it out!

I absolutely adore the bright gorgeous colours, and I had so much fun making it!

Have you tried the Distress Paints yet? You should, they are amazing!!!
You can find them at Hobbykunst!

Trying out my new Distress Paints

Hi there!
So I bought a couple (five to be precise) of the new TH Distress Paints the other day. I used them to create backgrounds for a couple of tags. I put different paints on my craft sheet, spritzed them with water and swiped my tag through. I then misted the tag and dried it.

I made these three backgrounds:
I just love the marbelised effect these paints give!

Paints used:
Left tag: Seedless preserves, Picked raspberries, Broken china and Picket fence.
Middle tag: Seedles preservevs, Picked raspberries and Picket fence.
Right tag: Broken china, Salty ocean and Picket fence.

I had time to complete two of the three tags. Here are the finished results:

On this last one I used some of the new Dylusions sprays on top of the paints, so you don't see the original background that much...

The pink tag became part of a mixed media canvas. You can read more about it here!

Feeling a bit dylusional..

Yesterday I made three tags using different deliciousness from Dylusions.
They are for three lovely ladies who work in my oldest son's kindergarten as he is leaving for another one after his summer break.
These ladies are so caring, enthustiastic and brilliant that they certainly deserve a special thank you.

Here are the three tags!
